https://rhiancooke.com/Bicentenary-Anne-BrontE-Workshops Films resulting from collaborative workshop with Beckfoot Thornton Students, to celebrate the Bicentenary of Anne Brontё’s birth (1820-1849). Thornton is the birthplace of the three Brontё sisters and the project aimed to raise awareness of the cultural significance of Anne’s heritage within the village and nationally. The students developed films in response to Anne’s life, writing and their own aspirations. Using cameras, audio recorders and contact microphones, the students explored the nearby Thornton landscape. Editing the collective footage into experimental collaged moving images.
